Training effort equips officers to deal with abuse, assault cases

The Developmental Disabilities Institute at Wayne State is teaming up with the Michigan State Police, the Office of Services to the Aging and the Michigan Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence to offer training for law enforcement officers, prosecutors and advocates in spotting and dealing with abuse to vulnerable adults, such as persons with physical or mental disabilities.
